Hi there,

Let’s take a look at Studio 17 from virtualstudiosets.com

It’s got 8 different camera angles, with plenty of room on the wide shots – we’ve included some guide layers to help you position your talent. You can put your own stuff in the screens, and hide or show each one in any combination. There’s a separate layer for the neon strips, so you can turn those off, or change the colour to suit your own branding.

The studio comes with a city skyline backdrop as shown here – but that’s also a separate layer. It’s a really powerful feature – you can swap out the entire backdrop and replace it with one of your own. You’ll notice it sits behind these glass panels, and with some extra lighting on top – so even the simplest graphic – even just a flat colour with some text maybe – will give you a really nice realistic looking backdrop in your studio. You can put whatever you want in there – the format is basically three 16×9 images joined together.

The vMix and TriCaster versions have UV gradients set up for the backdrop, so your source image or video, gets automatically mapped correctly for each of the 8 angles. We’ve also included a guide layer for the backdrop with a numbered grid which should make it a bit easier to work out which parts of the original image appear where in each of the close-ups. It might also come in handy lining things up if you’re adding your own graphics by hand, or corner-pinning things in post-production.

Just a quick word about the vMix versions – to keep the number of layers a bit more manageable, the midground layer has the neon strips, the glass panels, and the lighting layer all merged into a single image. But if you need to adjust those individually you can use the Photoshop versions, where all those layers are separate, to create your own variations. Check out the special bundles which come with the vMix version PLUS the matching 4K Photoshop file.

That’s Studio 17. Thanks for watching!
