Studio 1 update

All of our Studio 1 (and Studio 1B) products have been updated to v1.07.

virtual set colors
The new Photoshop files for Studio 1 allow you to adjust the colours and levels of all the red lighting elements and the pillars, all independently, to create infinite colour variations.

We’ve updated all the Photoshop files for Studio 1 and Studio 1B to provide you with some extra layers that give you even more options for customizing the set. The new layers are also provided in PNG format (and you still get several ‘quick start’ PNGs for each angle, in addition to the new updated layers).

New improvements to the Studio 1 Photoshop versions include :

1. Separate layers for all the lightboxes. The top curved lightboxes, neon strips, floor riser are now available as separate layers that you can adjust independently (previously these were all part of the same layer). This also makes it possible to adjust the levels (brightness) of the feature colours without affecting the rest of the studio.

2. Desk lighting colour (and reflections) are now separate layers. This allows you to adjust the colour, level, and opacity of the desk where it appears reflected in the floor and the riser. You even get a separate layer for the neon strips where they are reflected on the edge of the desk.

3. Separate layers for the pillar colour. The pillars are now available in a dark-grey colour on the background layer, with the red colour as a separate (adjustable) layer above. This gives you the ability to change the pillar colour, and brightness, without affecting the rest of the studio, for example to make the pillars white.

4. Screen monitors have thinner borders. We have made the screen surrounds thinner. There is also an extra ‘surface’ layer which adds a very subtle cast light overlay on top of the screen content. This is a separate layer, so you can easily remove it, but it can be useful to make the screens look a little more realistic, as if studio lighting is slightly spilling off the surface of the screens. Our later virtual sets have these, but they were missing on Studio 1, until now.

5. Railings, window frames, and glass are now separate layers. In response to a few customer requests, we have made it possible to turn off the railings, the window frames, and even the glass in the windows all independently to suit your preference.

vMix versions :

6. Two talent layers as standard. There are now 2 talent layers ‘A’ and ‘B’, plus real-time reflections if present (eg in the desktop, or the floor riser). If you only need one talent layer, you can easily turn the other one off (Setup < Layer < toggle Visible). Remember to do the same for the reflection.

7. Wide angle variations. We have given you FOUR different vMix sets for each of the wide angles, depending on which of the monitor screens you want to see. Previously these were all zipped up in a single folder, and some customers were struggling to import them into vMix successfully. These options will now appear as separate files on your download page, which (we hope) make them quicker and easier to install.

Tricaster versions :

8. Extra inputs now included. In addition to all of the extra layers mentioned above, you also get some extra UV gradients for Live Inputs on the front of the desk, and the side walls. (Previously these were available only as an add-on).

We have also introduced a new ‘vMix + Photoshop’ bundle which includes the new vMix versions, PLUS the matching 4K Photoshop files, which brings Studio 1 in line with our other virtual sets.
